simple advice
One thing I tell all my clients when creating these for them is that you should never look at it as a billboard or a marketing opportunity. It should be used to showcase a person or brand, not to sell anything. It's a way to visually enrich your online stories.
Too much text looks bad and won't be read anyway. If you communicate too much, you end up saying nothing. So keep your cover photo high quality and simple.
Finally, we always recommend keeping your cover photo consistent across all your social profiles. They don't have to be exactly the same, but consistency increases brand awareness and trust. Just a note of caution.
Facebook Cover Photo Template (Profile)
Over the years, there have been many changes to many Facebook image sizes. Currently, the maximum resolution for Facebook profile cover photos is 2048 x 758.
Notice the area covered by your profile picture, name, and a series of action buttons. These obstacles can be annoying at times, but you can also get creative and make them part of the background if you prefer.
Facebook Cover Photo Template (Page)
If you have a Facebook page, you are 100% free to work with your cover photo. The maximum display size is 2,048 x 779.
No interface elements or obstacles.
Please note that the Facebook page cover photo is not a flyer. Also, it's not a poster. Don't try to write too much information.
